JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s coronavirus death toll has risen to 86.
On Saturday night, the Department of Health announced that seven more people have died of COVID-19 in the country.
The new deaths are from the Eastern Cape (4), Western Cape (2) and Limpopo (1).
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 4, 361.

The Western Cape remains the epicentre with more infections and deaths.
With 1,514 infections, it leads followed by Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal with 1,304 and 847 respectively.
The total number of tests conducted to date is 161, 004, of which 8, 614 were done in the last 24 hours.
